Description

All I'm going to say about the content of this page is that IT'S ONLY AS NAUGHTY AS YOU THINK IT IS. Note to non-nerds out there: Terai-chan mentions that Cal has a nosebleed. While this could be from her flattening him a bit ago, a nosebleed is a manga/anime symbol. When a young man is overwhelmed by the beauty of a pretty lady, his blood pressure rises so much that his nose starts to bleed. Surely, Cal is too old and world-wise for this to happen, but maybe he has high blood pressure to start with. Who knows? For those of you not following the whole series, when the Girl calls Terai "foul mouthed" that is in reference to the "censored" dialog on the previous page. Also another fun face fault and sweat drop from Terai. Woo-hoo! An apology goes out to musicians for my highly inaccurate portrayal of someone playing the flute. To non-musicians, well, you may not notice. Did you know that Manga Studio comes with a nice flute model? Some of you may realize that one of the reasons I'm doing this series is to get practice with drawing and inking. Of course, nothing is shaded, but one thing at a time, right? I gather that in the comics world the feeling is: "If you're depicting a white-skinned person with white hair and white clothes, your inking should be all the shading you need." I'm working on that. I'm proud to report that I drew the Girl's nurse costume all by myself without help from Poser! Now, if only I could do that more often, and with better quality results. Still trying!!

Poser used as an artist's aid is a splendid tool. I used to draw brush/pen and ink. One thing about ink is using a speedball pen and India ink to get a variable line effect. As the line curves it goes from thin to thick giving the object being drawn shape and weight. Rapidograph pens make a steady single line. Japanese anime abounds in that technique. I much prefer the variable line. That kind of line art looks much more alive. As for this page, its looks good and I will have to check out your gallery for pages one thru 13, now. Comment on them as I view.
