Description

Return to a landscape view, today. These thermal features, along with geysers are found throughout much of Yellowstone National Park here in the States. The setting for this view is around sunset...hence, the brilliant coloring and shading. Because of using the super fine render settings, this ended up a 5+ hour rendering time. Whew! Great evening light on those rocks Keith! It bring out the colours marvelously well... and yet they remain soft and content looking. As though settling down for the evening.

This is a great render...the qualities you've endowed it with are utterly stunning. The detail is fantastic, and it has that wonderful otherworldly quality that Yellowstone National Park has. It's one of the things I miss, but I'm sure I'll see it again. This is an outstanding post.

A great image Keith...the sky and terrain work is very complimentary...addition of moon a nice touch.Only suggestion I can make is to maybe up your terrain resolution...I find gigantic resolution gives you a little more terrain detail close up.Well done-Neil.

A fantastic image Keith, I love the terrain on the rocks, the redness is my favourite colour for rocks and something I am striving to achieve. This definately has the 'Keith' stamp on it, excellent terrain work, great sky and of course your trademark moon. Excellent work and a pleasure to view. 5+. Tony :-)

This is superb; I've never been to Yellowstone, but have seen pix (well, duh, who hasn't!!) and you nailed it. A friend of mine lives so close they go there for walks and lunch - awesome render, my friend!!
