Description

Greetings again everyone. My thanks for all the nice comments upon my recent postings. You have all been very kind. And thank you very much for stopping by and having a look at my recent works. Okay, enough with the pretty girls for a day or two. Here's something a little different. I have this wonderful Dystopia set and I've only used it as a back drop for someone or something else. But today Metropolitan Dystopia itself is going to stand in the spot light. Actually, more like 10 spot lights at the final count. As you can see, urban renewal is moving a pace. Dystopia is looking pretty smart these days. The new inner city park is looking... well, if you think it looks weird now you should have seen it before. A play on Sudbury Ontario's unofficial civic motto. And, as you can see, the light rail line has just opened an extension to the new park - though the destination signs apparently say 'Old Triffid Farm'. Oh, I can just hear those little streetcars hum! And hey, these days not every night sky is a shell of orange and purple smog so thick it could block an incoming ICBM. Yes, Dystopia has come a long ways. By the way, you have no idea just how hard it was to get the light rail tracks installed out to the park. One would think that John Baird was also mayor of Dystopia City. For those who don't know, Mr. Baird is a real person who is Canada's rather well fed Minister of Unbridled Ramped Pollution er.. I mean Environment. The man's lists of achievements include scrapping environmentally friendly projects like urban light rail for Ottawa and the One Tonne Challenge. And he's up to his old tricks here in Dystopia. But I defeated him. Enjoy. As always, my thanks to those artists who have provided freebies used in this rendering: Moebius87 for the Dystopia City and Skydome. draagonstorm for the Starry Night for SkyDome. Matt Harter at http://www.3dtransit.com/ for the TTC CLRV streetcar. JTrout for the Road Construction Kit. sagersweb for the Column. davewa for the Amateur's Telescope.

Cool work Clayton, really amazing job with that lighting for this city. I can't begin to imagine the time you put into setting up those 10 sport lights.

Wow .. a lot to take in here ... for a Sudbury boy living in Toronto. You'll have to explain the reference to the motto! Noticed your use of the TTC model! Great job overall, an epic work I would say. Your reference to John Baird is not lost on me! He's got such a snarl, doesn't he?
