Description

Pseudo studio shot setting. Created it as if it was shot in a studio on a checkered floor against a white cardboard on one side and a plastic "mirror" (black garbage bag). Redid the render. Straightened the pov. Did the DOF in Photoshop using Len Blur Filter. Adjusted the DOF. Thank for viewing and commenting. Really would appreciate a few comments as to what is missing and what can be done to improve this render.

shadows...the checkerboard seems a bit much..overpowers the rest..although the reflections on the pot and cup are cool...maybe something with a bit of a texture..thinking of a checkerboard tablecloth in a restaurant... you asked!!!

@gateman45, do you mean to turn down the transparency on the checkerboard? LOL yes, I know I asked. I am using a "sliver" from the lightdome (20 lights, intensity at 2 cast shadow is off, Falloff is set to none and the sliver is a set of 10 radial light, arranged in a cross and set up high. You can see it in the top of the pot cover if you look at it closely. What kind of texture do you have in mind. Like a cloth texture? with checkerboard pattern?
