Great first attempt. I have Geocontrol and think it's a great program - you can import terrains into Bryce and they are much easier to make than Bryce's own ones.

Not a program I have used but thought about using maybe not after what you have just said Paul - lol, I like the depth of the scene and think the terrain looks pretty damn good considering it's a first attempt, great sky and atmosphere

Looks really good! I'm a GeoControl user but I tend to just click a few things and see what happens - I've not gotten into serious sculpting but I'd like to ;-)

Very nice first attempt. Try setting the resolution in GeoControl to 2048. Create a terrain in Vue with the resolution set to 4096. Hit the reset button, load your GeoControl terrain. Cut the scale of the material you apply by about 1/10 (depends on the material and the look you want to achieve)

Really nice first attempt Paul, better than my first! I find (if you can) using a high rez gives better details. Not something I use often, but it is worth purchasing! I like the little details around the shorelines, often missed out over the bigger picture..

For a first try beautiful indeed!! I like much the landscape and the sky!! For me just only the DOV-blur in the distance is a little too blurry. Texture-colors and water look very nice too! :)

Fantastic scene, and since I have no experience in all the wonderful tools you use I can only say that I love this place you have created.

Great clouds. Terrain is excellent too. The best tuts I know of Geocontrol are those in the forums of Geocontrol site itself. Cajomi does really great tuts. http://www.cajomi.de/Forum/forumdisplay.php?f=49
