I must assume that if you are here than you have seen my gallery.Thanks for stopping in and for any comments you may have left(;
I guess this is where I have to talk about myself then...
Well,my name is Paul Trepanier.I have been here at Renderosity for roughly 7 years under one guise or another.I am of French Canadian decent,I was born In Florida USA,raised between Texas USA and Connecticut USA.I am an Aquarius/Year of the Tiger.Spent a few years in Eastern Europe and now currently living in Malaysia. I have a degree in Computer Science, but work as a chef. I love EVERY aspect of art in all it's forms(that includes female humans :D). I regularly use Vue,Poser and Photoshop, write poetry and ocasionally dabble in Cinema 4D.I have a small store over at LightVue & Cornucopia 3D .I LOVE rock n' roll...the louder the better, and a good stiff drink on weekends(; I suppose thats about it for now.More to come as I think about who I am:D
ÂÂ
Oh yeah, and I cant spell for shit,so forget about it (;

I'd listen to the words he'd say
but in his voice I heard decay
the plastic face forced to portray
all the insides left cold and gray
there is a place that still remains
it eats the fear it eats the pain
the sweetest price he'll have to pay
the day the whole world went away
Trent Reznor
Be it a song or a casual conversation
To hold my tongue speaks
of quiet reservations
Your words once heard
they can place you in a faction
My words may disturb
But at least there's a reaction
Sometimes I wanna kill
Sometimes I wanna die
Sometimes I wanna destroy
Sometimes I wanna cry
Sometimes I could get even
Sometimes I could give up
Sometimes I could give
Sometimes I never give a fuck
.........Don't damn me

Leave me alone, don't want your promises no more
'Cos rock & roll is my religion and my law
Won't ever change, may think it's strange
I'm born to rock & roll, I'm here to stay

Great first attempt. I have Geocontrol and think it's a great program - you can import terrains into Bryce and they are much easier to make than Bryce's own ones.

Not a program I have used but thought about using maybe not after what you have just said Paul - lol, I like the depth of the scene and think the terrain looks pretty damn good considering it's a first attempt, great sky and atmosphere
jgmart
I think the terrain looks great! I haven't tried this app yet, so can't really comment. The material looks awesome too!
Dotthy

For a first attempt, turned out quite well!!

Looks really good! I'm a GeoControl user but I tend to just click a few things and see what happens - I've not gotten into serious sculpting but I'd like to ;-)

Very nice first attempt. Try setting the resolution in GeoControl to 2048. Create a terrain in Vue with the resolution set to 4096. Hit the reset button, load your GeoControl terrain. Cut the scale of the material you apply by about 1/10 (depends on the material and the look you want to achieve)

A very beautiful and realistic image!

Fantastic work!

Really nice first attempt Paul, better than my first! I find (if you can) using a high rez gives better details. Not something I use often, but it is worth purchasing! I like the little details around the shorelines, often missed out over the bigger picture..

For a first try beautiful indeed!! I like much the landscape and the sky!! For me just only the DOV-blur in the distance is a little too blurry. Texture-colors and water look very nice too! :)
JillianElf
Fantastic scene, and since I have no experience in all the wonderful tools you use I can only say that I love this place you have created.

Great clouds. Terrain is excellent too. The best tuts I know of Geocontrol are those in the forums of Geocontrol site itself. Cajomi does really great tuts. http://www.cajomi.de/Forum/forumdisplay.php?f=49
