SHANGO IS THE ORISHA OF FIRE, LIGHTNING, AND THUNDER. HIS NUMBERS ARE 6 OR 4. HIS DAY IS CELEBRATED ON DECEMBER 4TH. HIS COLORS ARE RED AND WHITE. I WAS'NT GOING TO DO THIS SERIES BUT EVERY SHOW MY PAINTINGS WERE AT, IT ALWAYS CAME UP. IN THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY I HAD "WATER DRUM SONG" ON EXHIBIT AT THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY FOR THE WATER SHOW. AGAIN THE SUBJECT CAME UP, THAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE YEMAYA OR OSHUN (THEY WILL BE NEXT). SO THEY WANTED THEM AND NOW I HAVE BACK ORDERS. THATS HOW THE ART MARKET GOES. THE PRINTS COME 24 X 36 WITH OR WITHOUT AFRICAN BOARDERS AND ORISHA INFO WRITTEN IN SAND. THE ORIGINAL IS 30 X 40 IN OIL AND ACRYLIC

Aguilar, when you first started the idea of the Orishas I thought to myself what an idea. I love the concept of paintings of the Orishas and I can't wait to see more of them. Love this one as well.
