Description
Knysna Loerie (Tauraco corythaix)
These beautiful birds are also known as the knysna Tauraco. The red feathers on the Knysna Loerie’s wings are more noticeble in flight. Their call is a trumpet-like ‘woop woop’, followed by a growling ‘korr, korr’. They mainly eat fruit and build their nests from sticks.
