Description
I've been doodling little pictures like this for as long as I can remember, nothing fancy, just something to pass the time.
I recently retired from the US Navy, where I spent over 20 years as a submariner. I drew this picture for a tee shirt to commemorate our deployment to the Persian Gulf in 1999.
Not long ago, a shipmate of mine paid me the best complement an amature artist could hope for: He got this picture of our ship as a tatoo.
I thought I'd share this with the rest of the artists in the community. Thank you for looking.

If this is a 'doodle' then I need to re-evaluate my pencils! Fantastic work. I've liked this image as your 'avatar' since I first saw it. Wonderful job on the illustration and congrats on the kudos from your shipmate. Indeed the highest compliment that can be paid to an artist. Good job.
