Description
It was a very beautiful day in Oklahoma. I filled up the bird feeders put fresh water in the bird bath and grabbed my camera; I was of for a day of photograph. As I live close to Lake Arbuckle I decided to start on the south side of the lake where very few people are this time of year. Not much going on a couple of Great Blue Heron of in the distance, a Pileated Woodpecker flew across the cove and a few ducks diving for food. It was a very relaxing and peaceful scene but I was looking for something different.
It wasn’t long before I wondered up on this Armadillo hard at work digging for insects, worms or that special tasty root that would only satisfy the most discerning of palettes. He must have realized something was close by he suddenly stood up to check me out, Armadillos has very poor eye site so I dought he could see me, they rely on their hearing and since of smell to detect danger. He must not have felt threatened; soon he was back hard at work. Thanks for your views and for your comments.

what a neat pose you caught him in! I've only seen one once, at a campground in Florida near Disney World. I was simply fascinated by it!
