Never seen one of these lava trees....... but they are quite intriguing and very evocative indeed! Lovely textures, shapes and colours are unique and original.... a superb composition, with a wonderful title.... very meaningful, my friend! :)

Lava trees are formed when fast moving lava flows around a tree. The cool and moist trunk causes the lava to crust around the tree. When the flow is short lived, it drains off leaving behind standing lava trees. Aloha
