Before I saw the definition of the title, I thought how wonderfully iconographic your image is. Then I smiled. You capture the significance, the symbolism, and the mystical sense of an icon. I sense the presence within it. Beautiful work, Niek.

I know what your original intent was from your title and it is a great concept, but for some reason Altered States comes to mind, and energy light and visions coming from the calm face floating in the dark. Wonderful!
