My suggestion{s}....shoot head on,instead of looking downward, adjust backdrop accordingly, and anticipate the drop...shoot before it falls, this makes senses with most digicams, with the shutter lag....I like them a lot,it just takes a whole lot of patience and postwork...thanx for putting them up!

I like Carls comment David, 'excellent depth' how does he know how deep the water was?roflmao. Excellent once again though, I like the colour change as well, did you use a filter for this in postwork? Yardrobe has a good suggetion regarding shooting head on. The challenge I mentioned most used a bowl or a dish and the majority were head on. Just don't do it like my tutorial on macro shooting, not recommended for this shot using liquid.lol. You are improving, well done. Bravo!!!!!

I like the background that comes through on your drop captures, I have been trying to do something similiar on mine. I use a drop trigger ( http://swannman.wordpress.com/2006/08/24/howto-build-a-flash-trigger/ ) with my technique and I have not yet figured out the background. I think a trigger is the best way to time the drops and splashes other than a super high speed video camera. As far as post work I only use photoshop to crop and get rid of blemishes, all the color and surface images are as captured. This gallery image gives a pretty good view of my setup ( http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1594518&member ). Mike
