Description
Okay, so this started out with me trying to create a nice looking atmosphere from scratch. I kind of liked how it was going, so in came the terrain, trees and buildings as an after-thought. This might explain why it might not seem particular well-considered as an image...
So, thanks for looking and any thoughts and opinions are always welcome.
Cheers,
Antony.
P.S. Sorry for the rubbish title - couldn't think of a better one immediately!

Kind of looks like an end-of-the-world scenario. S Very nice image, good detail and great work on the atmosphere.

This image looks more personal than others you did and I like it better. May I suggest 'Cotton Candy Sky' as a title? I can almost taste it:) With a few details fixed this could be really interesting- -The sharp pointy mountain in the middle of the range looks unnatural. -The image looks a bit grainy - the bird is a bit lonely and marginalized. If you put several of them in an arc between the hole in the clouds towards the left and then back towards the buildings it will enhance the composition tie things together. - might look nicer if there is some light on one side or another of the valley. (sorry about the length of the comment, it actually indicates I like the way you went about it)

Very good clouds. In principle, the grain on them can be removed by boosting up the quality of the anti-alias render settings (on some of my clouds, I have to boost it up until 100%...). Regarding lighting, I think you could maybe increase a bit the sky dome lighting gain, to enrich the shadow areas, which seem too dark, to my eyes. I like the reddish light in the horizon. Good work!
