Description

The secrets of Stonehenge lay not in interpretations of legend or cycles of the stars but in the discovery of the last stone. It's placement awakens an elder so large and vast it's Chakras consume the energy of an eclipse. As the masses are crumpled with the falling debris and the sun is taken by the moon a new enlightened path begins for a single onlooker of the old ways.

Interesting concept and I like the execution. I'm wondering if you went with predominantly green hues and colder light for symbolic purposes or because they logically fit the landscape/locale for you? I ask because given the subject matter, it seems to me another color palette might be appropriate.

thanks for the comments and interest, to answer a few questions about the piece, the color pallet was initial lots of blues , reminiscent of the eclipse sky but I couldn't get a certain picture out of my head. I was handed a image on a card in Greece some years ago by a beggar, a religious picture of sorts. I cant find it now but I remember the tones and hues feeling 'religious', if that makes sense. So I went with that, from the tones of the image I remembered , a religious event in a more elaberate sense of the word.

love the concept, and i like the palette. i thought the palette of greens, yellows and browns fit very well for such a being, but maybe i'm missing something. i love how the figure seems both massive and skeletal at the same time. incredible.

A brilliant piece, love the concept. I think the color palette is perfect myself, the lighting of the sky really portrays a cataclysmic event. As does it's rising from the ground.
