Description
45.5cm x 61cm. Oil on canvas.
Painted recently, this was a slightly more rapidly produced piece than other canvases I've posted.
I want to thank everyone for all the kind words and support for the images I've shown so far. I paint and make images of all kinds and with many different media for a living, and sometimes it's hard to keep it going recreationally as well.

His hair has so much life and colors, it really makes the portrait--the rest of him is so still and then he has this electric, wild mop--you can almost see it move in the breeze! And I really like how the light "blast out" part of his arm and makes interesting curves of it's own!

wow. this is absolutely incredible. i have to admit, i'd never think it was a photo. i think it holds more expression and heart than a photo of that same scene would. i love your use of light and shadow, and the colors you choose. i'm very glad you take the time to create CG work and share it with us. i consider you one of few CG artists that inspire me to try and go further than the standard themes and concepts in CG. not that i've done anything to succeed at that yet, but i love to keep my eyes on the skies. that's why i subscribe to your gallery.

the amazing thing is that you can see a similarity between your paintings and your Poser portraits. i mean, one can clearly tell it was done by the same artist. you have a style all of your own, with great attention to light, colors and character, and it's shown in both medias. really outstanding. this one is so alive and you can really feel his mass. and i love the hair. :)
