Posted this Because I know my Sylvia will love this. Sylvia had 15years of breeding and showing ROUGH COLLIES. It took most of those years to produce a show quality dog. Hannah was the last of around 12 Rough Collies that Sylvia owned, she lost Hannah back in 2005. I took the picture not many months before she passed on. Hannah's Grandma, Gemma whom Sylvia had most success with won a Reserved Challenge Certificate (you need 3 CC's from 3 different judges to become a champion) Sylvia still has a great interest in collecting anything to do with Rough Collies, paintings, prints, fine art statues and she has spent hours tracing back Pedigrees. She often says she misses her dogs so this is for her.

this is magnificent! I have not seen a collie like this. I know the same breed is bred for differnt points in different countries though. This is a magnificent face and such intelligence and loyalty. Excellent portrait with great postwork.

Wow! I don't know where you keep pulling these from Alan but keep it up mate they get better and better. Excellent capture and dedication, I'm sure Sylvia will be in tears when she sees this, but I think they will be tears of mixed emotions, both sad and happy. A fantastic photograph and great postwork. Has to be a fav. Bravo!!!!!
