Description

This is the kitty whose photo I used in my previous work for HydroCat...The area I live in is full of feral kitty's. This cat visits a man here in the house long enough to eat, is 8 years old and continues to make new babies because he was never fixed and its impossible to catch him! He will talk to you because he wants to come in. I have tried for 18 months to befriend this cat so as to at least have him fixed but I can't even pet him...the slightest movement and he is gone! This day he was on the porch looking a bit 'frosty' from our icy weather and while I feel torn because of my love of animals I can't let him in because he does his business on the carpets and walls. I am really angry because of the amount of feral's (and abandoned animals) running rampant here and the fact that people are poisoning the kittens when they are born instead of fixing the creator of the problem, I mean catching the males and fixing them. The city knows this problem exists and does nothing. It tears me apart every time I find another poisoned animal. So I post this today with a plea...please if you care about animals, be responsible. I know it costs to do anything but there are places that will help with cost and places that accept and try to find homes for those abandoned or ferals that are young enough. We humans made this problem, we humans need to fix it...thanks for looking and reading and for previous comments. Peace!

He is a pretty kitty. There are cat traps that trap them without harm. Then you can get him fixed and release him again. I know a lady that feeds the feral cats, but she does nothing to fix them. While my heart goes out to them, I agree with you that we need to do something, but it is quite difficult.

I do so agree! We have the Cats Protection League who will help pay for spaying in UK so people here have absolutely NO excuse!

Hey, Lynn, nice shot, though it's sad at what human are doing, or not doing, i should say... You're absolutely right when you say humans should take some charge of problems, especially when it's animals at risk. I'm very fond of animal's myself and there is a cat, too old for anyone i know, and i can't keep him, i leave food and water out for him each night. Thanks again for the pic, it's really special to me, hope you befriend it soon! Nice job!

Just makes you want to hug him, though I know you can't. Excellent shot and moving title.
