Description

This is an old picture of my Dad (Marvin), when he was just a young boy. The photo I have of him is 1" x 1" in size only (at MOST), and it was folded and bent and damaged. I really like this picture and wanted to 'save' it. I think I did pretty good, and I wanted to share it with you. My Dad died at a very young age (47) from complications of his M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis) He died in 1986. I miss him terribly, but hold on tight to all the good memories I have of him. :) Thanks for stopping by, Shari

You've done an extraordinary work with this old picture. But the nicest part of all is the effort you did for keeping alive part of him. I lost my father in 2001 and I will like to do something like this with one of his childhood photos. Thanks for sharing and giving good ideas! have a nice day!! By the way, you're like two drops of water!

You really fixed this foto, and did it well. What a lovely dedi to your dad, and how sad he wasn't on this earth for very long.

All you have to do is look in the mirror, and your dad will always be there, looking right back at you. Just look at your children Shari he's in them as well, he was a very handsome young man and you can see that has carried on. I was twelve when my dad died, he was 55, I'm sixty in a couple of months and there isn't a day goes by without me thinking of him and my mom. The pain eases but you never forget. Fantastic job you have done Shari, you have put life into this image. Awesome!

Oh Shari! Whatta nice job you did with this photo & I can see why your family is as handsome as they ARE! I did a digital "Re-Memory" album for my Dad for Christmas a few years ago - Right before strokes & Alzheimers finally & mercifully killed him last June. It was an effort to help HIM - REMEMBER US - Just a little bit longer! The original shots of Him, my Mother, & his parents were TINY things too & in TERRIBLE condition! I actually had to digi-paint a lot of their features back into the images. This is what "Digital Scrapbooking" LOOKS like though! It made him CRY! I took that to mean that they were happy tears. http://groups.msn.com/Bz304/christmasprojects.msnw?Page=4 P.S. He DID know who ALL of us WERE by the way! I don't know what became of the album tho - I imagine my stepmother either destroyed it or threw it away by now. snifff snifffff... I MISS the guy who was for awhile, at least in my mind - The HERO I'd use to measure the worth of other men by. You did a wonderful job with your Dad's image! Loves n Huggzzz... Teri

Good work on the restoration and I think it is a nice idea of preserving memories. Your family truly is luck to have such a eager and enthusiatic photographer who so marvelly documents so many memories.
