These are such pretty birds, but I've only ever seen one, and that was up in Canada. Interesting that they're all the way down there, too. Excellent detail on this guy, Maria. Well done.

A very pretty bird, I have never seen one but one year I passed a group of people all with binnoculars and I asked what they were watching and a lady told me they had seen waxwings and were rare in these parts of the UK. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I know this bird! We had a flock of them zoom in our neighborhood several years ago, and they ate every berry on the berried bushes we had all over the neighborhood. It was a fantastic scene! This is a quaint reminder of those good days when we could watch them. (Now I'm so busy I miss everything like that.) Excellent capture.
