I've been doing art for a long time. I use to do my work using an airbrush and standard paint brushes, but now use only the computer. I have a MFA degree in painting, but make my living doing graphic design. The work that I do using the computer, looks almost the same as the work I use to do using an airbrush. I've now use AI images to start with and fix and modify them. Except for the ability to create an image a whole lot faster, all that has changed is the clean-up. "click".

Nicely done! It reminds me of Dune somehow...maybe all the sand? :D

Oh hell ya, this is great work, very well done on all levels. Reminds me of the 50's SciFi Book covers of old, back when Ace and Bantum books put out double back SciFi Stories, a very long time ago. 5er 4 sure

Very nice scene! Everything looks great, but I really like the sand.

It reminds me of the Faded Sun Trilogy by C. J. Cherryh. Kesrith, Shon'jir and Kutath. And her mercenary race, the Mri.

Beaufiful scifi scene!

I like the composition, except that she should be casting more of a shadow to match her environment. You can see that even the close dune under her is casting, but her shadow seems to be just under her feet. Spoils the placement of her in the frame.

Ok, so you like comments eh? =P First, I think the background is a stunner. Which I've always admired your backgrounds. I'm also a sucker for rich and vibrant. The Sky and ground colors compliment one another very nicely and the spaceship/rocket is a nice touch. Now for my nit. =P For me the character seems like an afterthought and doesn't quite seem like she belongs. I like the character overall and has potential for the scene, but it just kind of looks pasted there and not blended...maybe a tad flat. I think shadows would help her, not only on her body, but the ground as well. Plus your ambient light is going to change her coloring a bit as well. Just think of where your main source of lighting is coming from in the scene and work from there. But as always...I do like your work.

OH... before I even read the other comments I did find my "mind" looking for her shadow, even a suggestion of one to her right...but over all your work is SO STUNNING that it is a very small thing... (I always want to "read the book" when I see your pieces! ;)
