Description

Hello, greetings from Berlin again! Tourism is an enormous upgrowing industry here - the only one upgrowing industry! We have had 7 million tourists in 2007, 12% more than 2006 - and they cannot do wrong... My friends, don`t believe them! Berlin can be dirty, ugly, the people here are poor, loud and rough! Streets have a lot of holes in its surface, and some houses look as they could break down in the next moment.... These houses had seen much better times, in the 20ies of the last century. It was a famous shopping street with lots of fashion stores, situated in the ground floor and the 1st floor. These times are lost forever. The house in the middle has had only 1 person who lived in, in this moment it is empty and it will be damaged in the next weeks. Meanwhile the balconies are smashed because there were so broken that they could fall down... In the foreground an old cinema, the "Turm Palast" from the golden age of cinemas, now full with second hand stores... Picture was taken in July 2007 with my coolpix. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking in.
