Description

I was playing with umbrellas and remembered the French musical "The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg" from the mid-1960s. Mostly I remember the young and very hot Catherine Deneuve, but in the opening credits there was a closeup aerial shot of people with umbrellas going back forth. Hence the title. I'd like to see that movie again, because it's been a very long time. It was unusual in that instead of the cast breaking into the occasional song, the entire dialog was sung. Trying to keep up with the subtitles as they sang was fun too, but then there was Catherine Deneuve, or did I mention that already? Rain was made in Photoshop, using a noise filter then selecting only the white specks and giving them a zoom blur, in three variations.
