Description
Another shot of the elk in the Oak Creek Wildlife Area where huge numbers of elk (over 2500) have migrated down to levels with less snow. This cow appeared to be the lead cow of the herd I was shadowing when she suddenly caught wind of something and spun around giving me this wonderful pose. Canon 1DMKIII, Canon 400mm 2.8 IS on a tripod. 1/1600 @ f2.8 ISO 100
