Description

Elephants can swim, could a sauropod have been able to swim too? I've been working for some time on a picture of the Keeper (that's what I call the floating woman who has a recurring appearance in my art) controlling a theropod in a deep forest. This work sort of grew out of that. I had come up with a good pose for the girl, but I wasn't sure if the staff, which I was constructing using Blender was coming out right. For some reason, it wasn't taking textures correctly (it turned out to be a problem with surface normals). I added the water to test reflections better. I liked the test render so much that I cut it as a work of its own called "Waterdance". I then could not resist adding a dinosaur and then an island. The final render was done using Vue with post production done using Gimp.

Nice work! The reflective qualities of the sphere are wonderfully done.
