Description
Thank you for your interest.
During the XIV and XV centuries in Europe the things was working in another very different way than now.
Many commercial routes and relationship between countries was also different.
In the east the Turkish and Mogols had broken the old route of the silk , a vital artery to Europe of luxury goods and, most important, spicies necessaries to conserve the aliments.
The search of new routes is very important in that time and Africa in the main way.
The Nazaries control the south of Spain and north of Africa in that time. they have the key of wealth but they are very weak.
The Castillians from the north of the Iberia Peninsula, ambitious and young, want to built again the old goth kingdom of their ancestors.
La Alhambra is during this time the marvelous palace where the last Moorish dynasty fight with all the possible weapons to survive.
One of them is the art that is use here to diplomacy, to marvel at the enemy that is coming to the palace to negotiate.
I hope you enjoy some of those delicate works.
Thank you, Guys.

Only a bit more than a week ago, I was looking all over the net for free stock photography about arab architecture. I wanted to find a background, an arch, that nice typical "fringe", something for the composition of an image with an eastern dancer that I did in Poser. I found out about La Alhambra during my research but not one photo that I could use. I finally managed with what I already had. Well you inspired me to think a bit more outside the box. I have another image in mind, maybe it will help me to have seen your work. I really love your series on La Alhambra, you have a magical way of composing and making things look grandiose.

Beautiful collage work. I love the Moorish architecture. On a personal note, the calla lily is 'my' flower, so you make this series even more special to me.
