Description

An updated view of my previous post. Last night we had ice showers (took 30 min to thaw the ice off the truck this morn) and this morning we've had snow showers. I was supposed to work today but the roads in the county I live in were not clear (school is out for us and many counties around us). I went about 3 miles on white roads and had gotten to a main highway that should have been clear but still had ice covered with snow. I called work and said I couldn't risk running 20 miles through hills and hollows on an iffy road. My truck is just a regular one, not front wheel or 4WD and it HATES ice! I passed a snow plow/salt truck on my careful way back home. It was spreading salt but the road looked much the same behind it as it did in front. Temp supposed to get to 32F and hanging in low 20's now with a 10 to 20mph wind which usually causes the salt-melted snow and ice to refreeze... So home I stay!!! Thanks for viewing and all of your swell comments~

Ooooh, my favorite flower! grin Nice shot, and you just have to post the photo of them when they do bloom! Amazing to me that you're getting that kind of weather where you are, too! That just normally doesn't happen! I'm from Georgia myself, though living in Colorado at present, so I now know all about snow...lol...hang in there, it can only last so long! ;D

They look like they are still on the way up, so thats a good thing, I hope they don't get frostbite. Fantastic sunshine here again today but still cold. Excellent capture of these hardy little shoots, it's what we need new growth. Bravo!!!!!

The thing about Tennessee is we get any kind of weather any time...80 F in Dec., 55 F (high) in Aug, or a week of no higher than 0 F in Jan, and a week of no cooler than 100 F in July,... Ice and snow and rain and sun all in the same day in winter months is fairly common. Great thing though is the weather changes to something good just as quickly. Tomorrow is gonna be 55 F and sunny! lol

Intrepid little flowers are these daffodils, they just pop up no matter what with their sweet little yellow blooms!!

Well seen and captured. We are still mid winter in the northeast. We had another 10 inches of snow today followed by freezing rain to coat it all. 13 hours of plowing for me today...I sure would like to see those here. Thanks for posting

They look pretty stubborn in that snow! Up here in Michigan it's been a high of 20, and the low last night was 0! By Monday we get alot warmer, but also freezing rain. I think I like those daffodils more than this freezing rain stuff!
