Description
this was a door that was painted by Sargeant McGee when the 82nd pretty much shoved all the fire base details on our unit so the active duty personal can have time off. So the doors on the ECPs where painted with our colors and slammed shut anytime and 82nd element drove through them out of spite. The usual fighting between active duty and Army national guard started. The 82nd is far worse to work with because of the Airborne status is gone to their head. And think they are better than all the units in the Army combined.

Dammed Airborne... The cold winter there this year is actually pretty amusing, something our Canadian troops are actually used to for a change!

Well, a buddy of mine was in the 82nd and another buddy's son was in the 82nd, so I know exactly what you are talking about. It's always "straight leg this and that" with the Double A boys. Remember, these guys jump out of perfectly good airplanes. They are nuts! Sarge did a fine job for A Company/1st Battalion/158th Infantry. And you did him right with the photo.
