Description

ABOUT DIAN FOSSEY Dr. Dian Fossey, one of the world’s leading female scientists, had a remarkable career, highlighted by many challenges and successes. Although her life was cut short when she was killed in 1985, her legacy has continued and grown in multiple ways. Most importantly, the work she devoted her life to – protecting and studying the mountain gorillas of Africa – has proved highly effective and has resulted in the stabilization and growth of this most endangered of the great apes, and in many other related conservation efforts, as well as programs for people who live in areas near the gorillas. Well this one looks like he's done a few rounds in the boxing ring Tony, don't you just love that fantastic nose.lol. It certainly gives him character. I remember seeing a documentary and a film about Dr Dian Fossey Tony, a very remarkable woman by all accounts. This is a very fine dedication to the lady, and to the work she did, highlighting the Gorilla's in the mist. Excellent capture and a wonderful dedication. Bravo!!!!!

Que gran y única mujer! Realmente admirable su dedicación hacia estos primos nuestros. En blanco y negro queda más dramática, top foto y classy como dirían por aquí. Gracias por el mensaje, te mando luego un IM.

Dian was a pioneer and a soldier on the front lines for the protection of this vital and important species. I was devistated when she was killed and still wish I knew what life for these gorillas would be like if she had lived. Better and safer, I'm sure. Awesome shot.
