I once read something curious on the internet that said that most small children considered it plausible that they would someday have a robot for a friend. Who's to say? As for the rather arbitrary hair colors of BelBel and NearMe... That's kind of an anime "thing" to make the characters easier to tell apart! The notion is, "Well, they all REALLY have dark brown or black hair, but goofy hair colors help you keep track of who's who." Note that other characters have saner hair colors. Nobody seemed to notice that characters declared to be Japanese were drawn slightly differently from those who weren't. Hmm... Another thing - I tried to draw a kimono from scratch here, without much to look at. Forgive me if it's not too realistic! Anyway, in honor of Valentine's Day, I give you this romantic grand finale.
