What a keen eyed young lady you are Ashleigh, plenty of people would have walked on without a second glance. It looks like this rock was drilled for some reason. I wonder what that might have been. Is it one of the rocks down on the sands where you and your grandad were walking? Thought provoking photography from one so young. Excellent capture well spotted. Bravo!!!!!

Great shot. *the hole was most likely drilled to drop the explosive down,which they use to break the rock away from the mountain.
