BIOI was born in Russia and lived in S. Petersburg for 60 years. Most of my career spent teaching at the Marine Engineering University. Since 2000 have been living in Regensburg (Germany) with my wife and daughter. I began taking pictures in 2003 and almost all my photos have been taken around Regensburg. Music and long walks in nature are my pet likes.
Have joined Rendero in 2003 and have met a lot of wonderful people here. Allways enjoy the beautiful works by so many excellent artists and have got lots of inspiration by theirs works.

What a beautiful image for valentine's day...I love that the 'hearts' are surrounded by ice, as if they still remain beautiful no matter what the circumstances around them. Very symbolic, Valentin. Happy V day to you. -M :^)

Greetings Valentin, We always are in search of spring because of the warmer weather and yet if we take a moment as you have done, we are rewarded with exceptional beauty that truly can only be winters. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend. egmont

A stunning capture, Valentine. Beautiful, icy, but with a promise of goodness, hope, and love, after winter. This makes it to my desktop background easily. Only -7C to -5C, up here at the moment, but beautiful crisp days ( although we did have some freezing fog for two days. You would have felt at home ... ;o) ). No rain/snow/sleet for three days now. An artist could not have, easily, imagined and painted this great scene. Congratulations on spotting it and capturing it so well. I hope that you were wearing your thermals. Thanks for your recent, kind comments. Regards, John.
