This is a Valentine I received today from LJ.
Hearts have always had a special meaning to me, as my beloved husband and I used to collect them throughout our 30 years together. Since he has been gone he has sent me several hearts, as clouds in the sky, in white feathers on the back of an Osprey that came to visit me the first winter of LJ's passing, and a tiny white glowing heart in the snow on my first Christmas without him. I even find hearts inside my artwork that I do not put there.
Last Christmas I went with friends to see the Blossoms of Lights display at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I had not looked at the images and left them in my digital camera, but for some reason I decided to look at them today. As I was going through them I found this picture. I was stunned, as all the lights had turned into hundreds of tiny hearts. Of all the pics I took, this is the only one where the lights turned into hearts.
I had been feeling a little lonely on this special day, doubting LJ's love, and that his spirit is still with me, until I found this Valentine full of glowing hearts. And I wanted to share it with you.
I did not alter the original photo in any way, other than putting it into a heart background (Heart & Soul by ilona/Bez) and adding a flood filter at the bottom. Those hundreds of tiny hearts of light are real. For me, and anyone who needs to know their beloved is with them on this day.
If you zoom in you can easily see every light is a heart.

First of all I want to say what stunning images you create. You're an extremely talented artist. I have a question...in the image above, I noticed that there is a dove with its wings outstretched, standing on the heart, did you put that in the picture and just not mention it? Just curious.

kelsi1 - the dove was in the background image I used - as noted above, Heart & Soul by ilona/bez. What I did was place the untouched photo inside the heart background image. CC
