Description

When I began to construct a project today, I decided to toy around with a lattice terrain by skewing, and tilting it. The result was a very squared-off formation which I had no idea what to do with...in fact, I almost deleted it entirely until an idea popped into my head and after adding a few more terrains and duplicating the original object more of an idea began to emerge. The result is just what you see. The remnants of Noah's Ark...according to the Biblibal account, constructed of gopher wood. And now, said to be encased in ice sitting somewhere atop the Mountains of Ararat in Northern Turkey. Is it there? Some have claimed to have seen something resembling a large ancient vessel of some sort. Enjoy and thanks for viewing & commenting... Bryce Sharpening and sig. with Paint.Net

WOW...a fascinating image! Ironically enough, on July 31, 1969, alleged fragments of the ark were found. I remember THAT date because it was also the day on which I was born. But whether THAT is true or not, this is a fantastic image! Great work on all counts and I like the way that it could be what you've described, but in a slightly different light, it can also be something beguiling and alien...I love that element in art and you've captured it wonderfully!

WOW! a fantastic creation out of an almost scraped plan! I am glad you were insightful on how to deal with it! The snow is fantastic for within Bryce! and the sky is perfect as well for this scene my East Coast Pal! and I will remember in future no worries hehe! Great stuff ~ Keep it up!

Then possibilities are endless here, Keith, but I love the idea of Noah's Ark, that's the image I'm seeing. Very nice render, great texture and light!!

When I first saw the structure I was reminded of an Aztec city in South America, except the snow didnt fit in to thatreally. (The snow lying like that, shallowly, is really well achieved by the way). Then I read your description and it fits the concept nicely. Whichever take you have on it its fun.

This is very cool. I like the way you made me think of Noah and his family and all those animals making that trip down the mountain and to repopulate this earth of ours. Thank you for this great image. I'm glad you didn't hit the delete button.
