Description

This was my first veiw of The Treasury at Petra in Southern Jordan. I normally don't like people to be in my landscapes but here in Petra they show the scale that I was faced with :) The place is amazing and quite rightly holds the title of the 8th Wonder of the World. More to follow.

Back when craftmanship and brilliant artistry was a must. There were few choices for accomplishing what you wanted and the only choices you had were the adornments and flair. This really is an astonishing sight. Great capture.

That's really an amazing shot and structure, people had a sense of the Sacred before and it showed... must have been a fascinating trip.

Oh, you fortunate man! That is a place I've long wanted to visit. They were engineers as well as artists with stone.
