Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image. This is one of the last photos I took last year. This was just a couple of days before Christmas. I only see this species in late fall and early winter. It belongs to a species that is considered one of the oldest for butterflies. They are found world wide. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. For those interested, all is going well with the house project but it will be months before this phase is done, lol. Lee

Nice to see a post from you Lee. I can't say I have seen this species before, I just love that snout though, it makes it look more like an ant eater than a butterfly, well the front of it anyway.lol. Fantastic when enlarged. Excellent capture, that eye is spot on. Bravo!!!!! Nice to hear the house is going great. Don't work to hard!
