Description

I have learned that sometimes life seems to hand us more than we think we can bare...sometimes we just sit back and we ask ourselves "Why?" I don't know about you but I always try to reason with myself in these times...I try to treat others as I would like to be treated....a lot of times I find myself biting my tongue and turning the other cheek, just to keep peace. And then other times I wonder if my opinion would even fall upon ears that would be willing to listen. Maybe that's why I choose to remain quiet. Sometimes I become angry with God because I just don't feel like He's listening or even that He cares and then soon after the guilt sets in and I wonder if I've made Him angry with me for cursing at Him. I don't know how you may feel but I'm so afraid of dying but even more so, I'm afraid of dying alone. Death has been on my mind, weighing heavily here recently...I've lost so many family members and friends since December of 2007 ....I find myself asking God why the good ones always seem to be the ones taken and the bad ones get to stay...it just doesn't seem fair or right to me. My Mother always told me that life isn't always fair, that it can be really tough at times...she also told me that our bodies are shells we live in for awhile and that it isn't what a person looks like on the outside that makes he or she good or bad...it's what's on the inside...she raised my brother and my sisters and myself to always look to a person's heart and soul and I've always tried to live that way. I raised my own children that way...people are people, it doesn't matter the color of their skin, where they come from, what religion they are, or even what they look like....we all bleed red blood, we all have goals and morals that we live by...I am a firm believer that there is good and bad in every race and creed. I am hurting so bad right now, I know it is stemming from the illness of my friend Kelvin Hughes...I'm so worried about him and his family...we all handle death differently...I don't handle it well, I never have. It doesn't help me feel any better when someone tells me the ones who have died have went to a better place and aren't suffering anymore...maybe I'm selfish, but I don't want my family and friends to die, I want them always here with me. The day will come that I will die and I will leave behind my loved ones and dear friends...then they will have to live with the same emptiness I am feeling right now. I don't want that for them. Maybe someday I will understand why we must die....but I'm 57 years old and I don't understand it yet. Maybe I never will.... Life is short....that's a reality we learn too soon....I'm just thankful there are friends who help me through emotional times like this...friends like each and every one of you....friends I cherish and love......."Just Because!" This truly a lovely scene and I agree with others, it's one of your best. I also agree with Dave. I think all of us at a certain age are beginning to feel our mortality and realize we are no longer invincible. If you worry about death all the time, you will forget to live. And living and doing it well is the best way.:o) so get up and go out and walk around that lovely lake you now live on, enjoy the trees and wildlife.:o)

Dear, don´t ask! You won´t get an answer yet and now! But I believe, there is an answer for all our questions, there is a reason, why... and we will get the answer, we will know, but not now, not soon... Just trust...

LOVELY artwork, kind soul! Your words sounded HUMAN to this old geezer. At my point in this earthly life, I've come to terms that there are worse things than DEATH. Like being miserable while alive. Or not being able to do things, physically, that you once did well. Or watching a loved one who's suffered a stroke that permanently damages them. I watched my dear, late father suffer with a three year long paralyzing ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. Thus, my earlier reference to there ARE worse things than DEATH. BREATHE DEEP. "ENJOY EVERY SANDWICH" (What Warren Zevon told David Letterman on his show about one month before Warren Died. Dave had asked him what ADVICE he'd like to give to them and that's what Warren came up with. WINK. SMART man, that Warren Z.). Blessings to you and yours. "Don't look BACK, something might be gaining on ya'!" (Satchel Paige quote - Pitcher from the old NEGRO BASEBALL LEAGUES who pitched into his 50's!). TallPockets.

Hi Marlene. I'll start by saying this is a very beautiful creation. One to be proud of. While I'm not usually fond of tubes, You've used them here with care and expertise. Bravo! I read your words and wish I could offer comfort. The best I can do is offer my point of view. Some, that only know me superficially, may think I'm not religious. They would be wrong. I do believe in God and an afterlife. I don't think of God as a Creator but rather as part of the natural order of things. I don't feel a need to humanize God but recognize the need of some to do so. I do see God as being at the top of a very tall ladder. I'm still near the bottom rung. A child. It will be a very long climb to reach God and actually quite an adventure involving a great deal of growth. I don't see God deserving any credit when things go right, nor any blame for when things go wrong. I'm saddened when family and friends pass on. I will miss them of course. I'm also a bit jealous of them. I believe when we pass on, we can hang around for as long as we want, before reaching for the next rung. We can watch the world through the souls of our loved ones still here. Perhaps assist or even communicate sometimes. Given a strange stroke of good fortune or luck, I'm more inclined to give credit to my late wife. She being in a better position (closer) to help me. I don't fear death and rather look forward to it. But our trip to God is not a race, so I'll be taking my time and smelling the flowers. I don't know if this helps but willing to bet it rings true for a lot of folks. If you need to talk, you have my number. Hugs and hope to you sweet lady, from Dave :^)

Awww I'm so sorry you are hurting. That too is as much a part of life as is birth and death. Life is a mystery of twists and turns and what we do with them. I think everyone is afraid of death at some level. It is the unknown and the future of it that makes it so. What would be so magical of living forever? There are no real answers, but please know that you are not alone in this. Very sweet art!

Magnifica obra, um contraste de beleza, aplausos (5) My friend you thought already which world teriamos if there was not the death. Would what would be done from the children who are born, be denied you link it the right of coming? The world-wide overpopulation, or to not existencia of children. The life is so I am not an admirer of the death, but yes of the life, for this I look for his beauties to each minute, not to lose his excência. It magnifies work, a contrast of beauty, applauses (5)

Well.. We all go.. one day It is not so much the question of when and how.. but what we did while here. Look at the sky tonight and see the lunar eclips (20/21 febr). That is wonderful (if you can not see due to clouds or being on the wrong part of the world.. look at it life on many websites)... The moon moves into the Earths shadow They circle around eachother for eons now.. romans saw it, Greec saw it, Egyptians saw it.. even the dino's saw it.. (more spectecular, as the moon was much closer to earth)... They all came and went.. and as far as the humans go, they all wondered what you wonder.. Why do we come and why do we go.. It is a question no answer is known for. I myself often wonder why I am ... Not why I will die.. but why I am.. How can I be.. :) How is it possible that I am here.. in this body.. at this time. Another impossible question.. grin.. What is important is that you enjoy every minute of your being here... in 2121 none of us will be around but the people of that year will wonder the same as we do.. and proberbly do not have the answer yet too.. We come we go.. what matters is what we do in between... knowing that there is a little muscle in your body beating eh.. heart minute by minute.. pumping life around.. enjoy it to the max ! and remember those who are no longer with us.. but do not let it make your life less worthy.. as it would make you too bitter and they do not wish you to be bitter ... I made an image for Kelvin too.. He is in our minds

Beautiful scene and awesome composition. Loving all the color. Take care. The eternal question and without answer I feel. Life as Robbie williams sings...is a rollercoater. Mortality is a words for which i do not care for.

Great image!! God is always there. That is why if you look at some of the old and new prophets you find some that even wanted to die, but God stayed with them thru thick and thin. He is ALWAYS there. Keep talking for the perception of him not listening is from us. Not from him. After all, he surrendered his Son to a greater plan and he isn't going to let that go to waste. Sorry I am late with this comment, but I have finally been cleaning our my email box which is 99% Renderosity. Such marvelous talents you guys have!! Keep up the fantastic work!!!!!!!! P.P.S. Just some more food for thought. When we dive into ourselves we are fairly shallow. Dive into God and the depth is unfathomable.
