Description
This little group, (a series possibly?) could well be an addendum to the 'Where I live' series. On the work side of the mountain (Malahat) which is on the way to work, is a lovely park, on both sides of the highway. This is Goldstream Provincial Park, where I watch the miracle of salmon spawning every year, and then the bald eagles and all sorts of other critters gorging on the salmon. The area around the parking lot, where I stopped on my way home from work today is magical, (well, it is to me)! For about a mile on each side of the estuary, the trees are literally dripping with the most amazing mosses and lichens. Driving through in bright sunlight is amazing as I compare the relative gloom at my height to the emerald sparkles above me in the trees. Fallen trees are left to rot, which I really approve of, as this nourishes the wood eating critters, which nourish the wildlife, etc etc ad infinitum. I took a few photos there today, and this first one really appeals to my quirky sense of humour.
It's just one huge, very gnarled old stump, quite covered with both mosses and ferns, and I see things........On the left is an amazing representation of an eagle doing very amorous things with a bear! Honestly! What do you see?
Thanks for your visit, and for any comments.

This picture is amazing/beautiful! And from the description of the scenery where you live, it does sound magical to me also! Especially when you spoke of the sparkles in the trees. It immediately reminded me of a place I found on our land when I was a little kid. It was a huge log across a creek, and there were giant trees that created dappled sunlight all over. And what do I see? I see little fire flies and leprechauns!

This is such a cool shot and such a beautiful place. You made me laugh with your vision and now I can see it too, I also see a critter with a thousand legs and what you see as an eagle I could also see as a turtle. What a drive you must have!

Oh yes, I see it! I hope nobody thinks you've violated the TOS with this one. LOL! Great capture, even without the extracurricular interspecies activities! I'll look forward to more of this series. :)

I don't see how you got an eagle.. I guess to each his own...LOL I see some sort of ram with horns..and his head is slightly bowed like he is getting ready to head butt something... The one directly in front looks like a monkey lying down...and to the side her little babies beside her.. As for the one behind it I am stumped grin get it sis stumped grin Oh my the pain pills have kicked in.. Love this mystical magical place you have found... Would love to see a pic of it in the winter...spring and fall...... Love this and it's a fav with me I posted a new one too for my 25th Wedding Anniversary..Do hope you drop by and leave me a comment... Hugs Your Ky sis Susan~

Yes I can see the eagle with it's beak open and the bear in a compromising situation, I also see a couple of monkeys and a trolls face. I see faces everywhere, in the clouds even in our bathroom on the floor and in the tiles. Excellent capture, I also see a man on the left and a bit of a red car. Bravo!!!!!!

Wonderful Shot!!!!

Terrific detail in this capture of what appears to me to be an ancient malevolent hydra-limbed creature, free of captivity and rising from the bowels of middle earth, thirsting for blood.
