Description

One might have surmised by now that I am fond of doves. The White-winged Dove is common to extreme southern U.S. and Mexico. I love it's subtle coloring and different patterns of feather tips. Thanks for stopping by and thanks so much for your views and comments.

I have seen more of these around Dallas in the last two years, I agree they are beautiful to look at! I have also seen some other types that I have not identified. Some one told me they are Eurasian doves, have you seen those? Excellent capture. Todd

I have about 30-50 of the more common doves in my backyard every day. That is a nice photo of a dove I never get to see. Well done. :)

Years ago I read that the blue signifies a male but I'm not sure if that is really so or not. But this is definitely a stunning capture...of this I'm sure.
