Description

Pinselohr Wüstenluchs, Südafrikanischer Karakal Der Karakal ähnelt dem eurasischen Luchs. Lange Zeit wurde er als naher Verwandter der Luchse betrachtet. Neue DNSforschung hat jedoch gezeigt, daß das Karakal überhaupt kein naher Verwandter von Luchsen ist, aber statt dessen mit dem Serval und der afrikanischen goldenen Katze verwandt ist. Auffallend spitze Ohren mit langen Haarbüscheln, hochbeinig,sandfarbenes, ungeflecktes Fell. Verbreitet von Südafrika bis Mittelasien und Indien. Schlägt Beute bis Gazellenhöhe und holt sich auch Vieh aus Farmen und deshalb stark verfolgt. paint brushes Caracal, South African Caracal The Caracal resembles a Eurasian Lynx. For a long time it was considered a close relative of the lynxes. Recent DNA research, however, has shown that the Caracal is not a close relative of lynxes at all, but is instead related to the Serval and the African Golden Cat. Conspicuously sharpens ears with long tufts of hair, long-leggedly, sand-colored, unstained fur. Spread by South Africa until Middle Asia and India. Spoils beat to gazelle height and fetch themselves also cattle out of farms and therefore strongly tracked.

Super shot of felis caracal the ear tassles are like 'whiskers'so they can detect overhead cover. I have seen vids of this cat snagging birds on the fly. My favorite cat is the puma.
