This is a detail of my abandoned easter project. I didn't turn out the way I wanted.

It's a beautiful render, though Jesus was born a Jew, so the blue eyes were probably brown (I could be wrong...), and his crown of thorns is missing, along with the wounds and blood from the thorns, and the bruises from being slapped around by the soldiers, and scourged. Really, though, this is a great start! I really like the expression.

Thanks for your comments. Sybil, this is exactly what I wanted to add. I was thinkinge whole night about how to draw a crown of thorns and the wounds and the blood ;-) The first render was done with brown eyes, but they weren't as 'visible' as the blue eyes, so I changed the texture to blue.

nice image, hope you find time to complete it, I think it is excellent but I realize it is always the inner view that the artist is striving to create in the external work....yet this image is of its own wonderfully consoling...

the lighting is awesome, and a great start! Basically Noone knows what Jesus looks like, not even Legume ;), so make him however you want!
