Description

Tulips are a favorite of mine. They are also a reminder of a very special lady who lived across the street from my Parent's home. When I was about 2, I wandered across the street and this dear lady found me on her front porch. Of course, she brought me right home; and this was how she entered our lives. She became a very good friend of my Mom's and like a second mom to me. She died nearly 3 years ago. She adored tulips, so when I see a tulip in bloom I am always reminded of her. Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous upload, "A Hint of Spring" . And thank you so much for the favorites! Stellar shot of the tulips, young lady! The black background really enhances the color, clarity and textures of these gorgeous blooms, Melinda. Many of this variety can be found growing at the beautiful Descanso Gardens, located in beautiful LaCanada/Flintridge, CA.

Great colors, perfect composition, and excellent presentation. Great capture. I can never see tulips without thinking about those uncomfortable looking wooden shoes!... lol... :) I am not even sure if they come from the same place, I just always put the two together.... weird huh?
