Description

Hello! A change from the flowers but … yep … its another fly shot! Still one of the first macros I had tried … compos not very exciting (did the best I could) but was rather pleased otherwise, lol. BTW I usually use spot metering … is that the correct method??? Thanks for your continued support. Enjoy the new week Noeline :D Info: 100mm EF 2.8 ISO 160 1/200 sec, F/11 Hand Held, Manual Focus

i do believe spot metering is the one to use with macros its what ive been using :o)..ugly looking things arent they but make great subjects for this type of shot .you`ve captured some fantastic detail and colours here noeline .excellent capture mick

Super macro of this unwelcome insect. It must be sun reflection creating this redness in the eye.

@ledwolorz ... have no idea, just thought they were normally that colour. I usually don't get too close to them, LOL!

Great macro Noeline, Flies eyes do vary in color depending on the light, spot metering is very useful, but very close up will also give you a shallow DOF, a little closer and you will start getting a lot more detail, especially in the eyes.

excellent detail on the critter, but try and get closer.with a 100mm lens you can get right on top of an object of interest.takes some practice on being very slow with your movements as to not scare the intended target
