Description

While riding along the river I saw this deer coming down to drink some water. :) You have to really look close for them or you will not see them since they blend so well with the landscape. :) Taken with Canon at 400MM Open in full window for best viewing. :)

An excellent capture, my friend. I once almost stumbled over a wee fawn some years ago, when visiting Balloch Country Park, on the banks of Loch Lomomd, Scotland, with my younger children. I had decided to make a shortcut through a wild, almost chest high, meadow and some trees and brush to get back to the main path. It seemed to sit there for ages, before it decided to disobey its mother's instructions, to sit tight while she was away, and bounded off. I did not have the time to get my camera out. Since I suffer from both double vision and camera-shake, any photo would have had four fawns in it ... ;o) Regards, John.
