Description

A "black panther" — a melanistic jaguar After the tiger and the lion the jaguar is the third largest predatory big cat of the world. The jaguar is the largest cat of the American double continent. This predator externally looks the leopard like the old world. Normal colored also black, so-called melanistische copies happen besides just like with leopards (black panthers) with the South American jaguar. They appear particularly in the Brazilian jungles now and then. Black jaguars are - as also the blacks panthers, no subspecies of one's own but only color versions (mutants). The spot subscription can be still more or less well recognized at these blackish specimens. Normal colored copy like way of life and diet. A "black panther" — a melanistic jaguar - is extremely seldom shown in zoos.
