I like the geometric overlay. I would prefer not as close of cropping on the top of the head. I'm not a big fan of square pictures unless they are being done as mock CD covers, but that is just my personal taste. You might also check your AO settings, it looks like there is some nostril glow. (I've found that in portraits, setting AO by the material is better than setting it globably. I like the way the eyes are looking past the viewer, and the hand position is again quite good.
