Description

"Take my love, take my land. Take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me." ...sometimes you've just got to step back and take it all in. This one started out in Vue and then morphed into a matte painting of sorts as I started laying some rock detail into the foreground. Before I knew it, it was more Grand Canyon and Sedona pics than Vue render, but I still think it came out ok. For those that have inquired about a desktop image, I've created then in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios and posted them on my site... Credit and thanks for the fabulously well detailed Serenity model goes to Sean Patrick Kennedy (Treybor): seansgallery.com. As always, thanks for looking and for all the great comments and critique!

Geez, that terrain and sky is freaking incredible! Wish I had something more intelligent to say, but my head is up against the screen with mouth agape- its really damn, damn awesome! The lighting on the ship is exactly what you would expect from this scene- its realism on the highest level! The man at the edge of the cliff is what gives us a sense of scale. Brilliant render and imagination- not to mention the technical skill necessary to pull this off. My hat is off to you sir, well done and thank you for sharing this great vision!

I think jdehaven said it best here, the realism in this one and the sense of scale are simply outstanding. This is definitely something that would make a great wallpaper/print for fans if it were made available in a larger format.
