Renderosity has opened a whole new world to me, its a fantastic place and have had some brilliant support from many new friends.  I retired from work very early through ill health so I took to photography from the very basics.
Since joining I have grown in confidence with my photography and I now think because of RR that I take it a little more seriously. I started off here using a Fuji Finepix 6500fd, it took some great pictures but I'm hooked now so I have now(April 2008) bought a DSLR SAMSUNG DX10 and having fun learning the settings etc. ( these things take me a while lol)ÂÂ
I am so fortunate to be with a wonderful person in my life, Sylvia. She is not just my partner but of course she's also my best friend. Previously I have been married but seperated a few years ago and have two fantastic children. I NOW have two fantastic grandchildren !!!
My interests are photography, i have had a dabble at Acrylic painting, and I enjoy long walks out in the countryside.      I also have an interest in anything historical.  I want to have a sample of just about everything there is in photography, who knows what the future holds!
Thanks for calling by.    Alan

This is a beautiful capture Alan, love the mist over the valley excellent we have had some great weather lately here in the UK to capture these beautiful scenes of nature, excellent well done.

it is the conditions which many of us hope to see( when not driving) and you have captured the feeling really well. I shoot into sun a lot more than pre digital days and the effects can be striking , like this. I could not improve on the composition, a key feature being the way the tree on the right just extends into the far hill giving an anchor to the skyline.

i see the weather is no different further south ,we have been engulfed in frezzing fog day and night last 2 days ..alan i agree with jeff ,my opinion is that what ever feel is creative is the correct exposure and the quality does
nt matter as long it portrays the story you want to tell ,which this does .its what you saw and want other people to see .i think i
ve expained that right :o)..my heads in bits as younger brother was taken into hospital today thats why i`m late commenting .this is excellent and conveys a great story of how it was mickwitch_1612
