Description

Well after 2 years of trying to produce an image that is totally digital, the inking the hatching the colours, all rendered in poser. The toon edging was a 2D filter, so nothing was hand drawn. The yellow lighting was about the only thing added. I go to bed tonight a happy person. It's not about boasting it's about achieving goals I know now that it is possible for someone with no drawing skills, can produce a comic, and in about a quarter of the time a traditional comic can be done. So there’s hope for zero talent guys like me. So thanks for look and take care.

Very striking. A well spent two years. By the way, you have great talent! It's not just about drawing - even in Poser you have to get the poses and the lighting right or you look like a bad drawer just the same. Your work proves otherwise. So sleep peacefully!

Excellent work, I applaud your dedication to achieve this milestone. Poser is a difficult application to master, I am still very much a novice in that department. Great comic image. Keep up the great work.

It has a hand-drawn feel, which as I know is very difficult to achieve, great result!

Congrats Midnight. That is a difficult achievement. You have much more patience than me. I loved your comment about "someone with no drawing skills, can produce a comic, and in about a quarter of the time a traditional comic can be done. So there’s hope for zero talent guys like me." I've been thankful I discovered programs like Poser & Carrara to allow me a chance to delve into the comic world. Otherwise, I would have to stick to drawing stick men and happy faces.

Actually, I can draw and paint images far faster than CGI rendering when you consider making all the meshes and building entire scenes from scratch. I just can't rerender them over and over or rearrange things as easily when I paint them. I get the biggest thrill when an image comes out as I expected, painted or CGI. Much like what you just did here.

Wow this is really excellent! I would be much pleased if you post a step-by-step tut in the Renderosity tutorial section. I have bought Elementalism-Material Things Ink II at ContentParadise last week, and also bought AdamWright Comic Style scripts (which have the serious advantage to work OUTSIDE Poser in Photoshop), but both solutions seem not very simple to use. I have also used Illustrator CS3 as a color vector solution, not perfect but sometimes in well-prepared images can works great! Any solution will be interesting, anyway what you have done here is extremely beautiful! 5+++!

No talent? Come on just you may not be able to hand draw as good as you can in cgi but you trust me you have plenty of artistic talent. It's not just about the execution it's also about the heart and the ideas behind your work.
