Description

This began as an exercise in modelling that progressed to push my skills and my computers output. All the items were created in bryce and rendered in textures from cgtextures.com and bryce presets.Once I had created my scene I realized I needed to populate it,at least the foreground walkway...so I created image files in photoshop of various figure poses and then brought them into the terrain editor to create my version of low-rez figures. This allowed them to cast realistic shadows, and back in photoshop I coloured them lightly to eliminate the greyscale finish.Signature and minor effects also in photoshop. Thanks for viewing and all your comments from previous images...Neil.

An awful lot of work, my friend. The BBC have a similar scene ( but an animated fly through ) as a signature introduction to their BB2 channel programmes. Regards, John.

Glad you finished this 'experiment'. A really great sci-fi image. I particularly like the addition of the people in the building and your overall attention to detail is excellent. Tony :-)

Excellent render! A great look for a futuristic utopia. Great work on the individual people aswell. My only critic would be, I feel the people would be a little more spaced out. Not in small clusters or rows. There could be a few small clusters but for a city of that size, people generally keep to themself. They look to orginized! Great work! It keeps getting better! Look forward to seeing more!

Great scene! Nice job on the figures. The terrain editor is kinda neat that way, but I hadn't thought of that trick.

Very nice work, excellent mood, agree with JCD about the magazine cover look. Cool idea about the characters making-of, that's really effective. Nice POV, too.
