Description

On a night so darkly blue With the lonely moon so full Her Raven's cry Fills the midnight sky You never said goodbye Why, my beloved ... why? Ravens have always been interesting to me because they mate for life. Credits: Created in Photoshop CS, using a photo, painting techniques, and a Native American Background (modified) by pixels29. A special thank you to Ilona (vlaaitje) for the Raven photo. Hope you enjoy. CC

And so full of symbolism and shamanic meaning Carol. From Edgar Alan Poe to the native american meanings...I have always seen them as messengers, and I think your ravens have delivered the message....A unique work and as beautiful as it is spiritual...A Bigggg Hug, Jilly

I saw a Raven once standing in front of me, staring with a look that made me feel that he knew so much more than I, all I could think was that I would have loved to be gifted one of his feathers, then he flew away opposite to my direction... I took just two steps forward and right there on the grass was the most beautiful, perfect Raven feather, this feather was dropped before I had my little encounter with him, how did he know...! I will never forget Raven. Spirit works in mysterious ways... Beautiful image :)

Absolutely gorgeous, capturing the very essence of Raven. I love the poem that goes with it, but it does make me so sad. How touching and how lovely and how sad. Can it be all those at once ? Big Hugs !!!!

Beautiful! I have seen so many pics of Ravens that are eerie, but this is beautiful! I have always been drawn to them also, it is actually my Native American birth animal (October)
